Our poor Japanese Maple took a beating in the snow storms this past February.
I thought I took a picture of it in the damaged state, obviously not. But I have this....
After the snow melted the tree was split almost down the center. I went out to try and save it and one side fell off in my hand leaving me this....
I think it will survive. Lopsided, but alive. And I was able to use the branches like this...
So in the end, it may just all work out.

Sweet greetings from Frog Hollow Farm! Sorry to hear about your maple tree - we have a big willow across from out pond - I keep waiting for it to fall during the wind storms that we have here. I look forward to re-visiting your blog. Ciao, bella!
