Autumn is here. I am finding it hard to believe, since we hit 90 degrees here today, but the calender says it is, nd who am I to argue with the calender?
This yearly marker is making me think about the 2 ceramic pumpkins I have in the basement. I guess it is time for me to bring them up. I am also thinking I need to bring in some kind of spicy scent. I am sad to say this is the extent of my Autumn decorating.
Now, I know that many of you decorate for the seasons. The questions I have for you is...How far do you go? Do you go all out? Or just a few pieces here and there? Do you re-use the same items? Or do you get/make new ones? And where do you stash your stash when it is no longer fall?
Or are you like me, and not really do much?
In the past, I never even thought about changing my decor, except for adding some Christmas decorations after Thanksgiving. But lately, I have been coming around to the thought of some seasonal changes.
Anyways....Where do you fall?

I decorate for Fall more than any other season except Christmas. I like to go with a neutral "Fall" theme so it can last all the way to Thanksgiving. Not just Halloween. Over the years I have accumulated a bunch of pumpkins (usually by shopping the after holiday clearance) that I position around the house with other items like candles, vases/vase filler etc. I also have a couple of fall leaf wreaths. ANd I always like the ease of throwing some dollar store candy corn in a glass vase! After Thanksgiving I pack it all up and put in the storage room so I can drag out all the Christmas stuff!

Oh sounds cute. I do like to bring in some small pumpkins from the grocery store to sprinkle around the house. I will have to keep my eyes open for clearances.
ReplyDeleteI would love to go all out but we live in an apartment and there aren't that many spots/places to decorate. So..I do as much as I can and try to be happy with it :o) I have one Rubbermaid tote of fall decor and one for Halloween. I've been trying to add to my stash with clearance items after the season.
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend!
