Today lets talk about painted woodwork and trim. I LOVE it.
All that creamy, luscious-ness (is that a word?). I love how fresh and clean painted woodwork looks.
source-Country LivingThere is always something so easy about painted paneling.
And lets talk about using an unexpected shock of color.
Nummy!
Now don't get me wrong, I appreciate the beauty of natural wood paneling. Especially when it is historic and has reached the richness that comes with age, like at the James J. Hill House.
But I have to tell you, even knowing how special and beautiful that wood is, I would be itching to to paint it.

Hi Laurie,
ReplyDeleteUhh, you nailed it right there. I love painted woodwork too. I also like wood in it's natural state, but it all depends on the piece and how it looks. My husband and I have to compromise there sometimes, so I try to do things that we can both live with. Great post.

Thanks Trine- I really can appreciate a god aged piece of wood and you need to have a balance, but I love me some white trim.
ReplyDeleteHi Laurie~
ReplyDeleteI love painted trim, too! Your inspiration pics are BEAUTIFUL!!!! 9 times out of 10 I would prefer to see painted wood over natural.
This was my first visit...I discovered you through #blogboost! I am participating in the challenge too!
Have a beautiful day~
