I have been flitting around here and there, working on various project. Nothing that I can completely reveal, but enough to keep me busy.
One of the projects included painting my dining room chairs. I've been waiting for the inspiration to come, and it has. I want to paint them gray. I was inspired by my desk chair.
Funny, but I wake up up and see this chair every morning, but it took a long time for it to sink in that it is the perfect color for my dining room chairs. The problem is I custom mixed this color.
I went to SW and got a sample pot of Dovetail Gray. I love the color. But it ended up being lighter than what I wanted.
But I love the color- Seriously, if you are looking for a great cabinet color, this is it. It is a very nice warm gray.
My question is...Should I try and go darker, like the inspiration chair, or leave them as is, lighter?

I like them both but if I had to choose I would go darker. Good luck

either would look great.. but think i'd go darker too. :)
ReplyDeletei love them just as they are- the light gray. i think it works well with the floor, and keeps it soft, light, and airy.
ReplyDeleteDarker....

Go with the darker! Take the chair into Home Depot with you and they will color match it:)
ReplyDeleteI really like the lighter grey! It looks fantastic with your striped floors.
